Delicious Baking Without Milk or Eggs
Delicious Baking Without Milk or Eggs Everyone loves succulent brownies and gooey chocolate chip cookies dipped in a glass of milk. If you made the commitment to reduce animal fats in your diet, you might think these delectable treats are consigned to yesteryear, but you will be happy to know that you need not give up brownies, cookies, or even creamy cheesecake just because you decided to refrain from consuming dairy products and eggs to improve your health. It’s never been easier to eat healthy deliciously without feeling deprived because there are many products on the market that mimic the texture and flavor of eggs and dairy. Making Replacements Your grandmother most likely used dairy and egg replacements in her baking, but these were mainly put together in a pinch when the recipe was halfway made, and it was impossible to run to the store for more eggs and the ration of milk delivered by the milkman had already been consumed. If your grandmother was short of … [Read more...]
The Adventures of Rooney Cruz – Esther The Belle of Patience
** I was provided with a copy of this title for the purpose of this review. However, my own opinion was used and not influenced in any way. The Adventures of Rooney Cruz - Esther The Belle of Patience I love my two girls and I want to give them the best chance possible in life. I know that I am not the only Mother who feels that way about her children. It can be hard at times to know if we are doing the right thing as moms, if we are teaching them enough. Luckily we have so many resources available to us. One of my favorite ways to help teach my daughters about life lessons is through books. We are big on reading in my home. I always had a love of books and I want to make sure to pass that on to my little ones. Recently I was sent a copy of the book The Adventures of Rooney Cruz Ester The Belle of Patience. This is a great read not only because it teaches the kids about patience but also because it brings (my favorite) Bible story of Esther to life. Esther is a … [Read more...]
Ice Cream Cookie Cups! Perfect Summer Treat!
Ice Cream Cookie Cups! Perfect Summer Treat! We have been having record breaking heat here in Colorado. I know to some of you it is not hot but to us it's killer! We have been hitting 102 degree's already and it's only June! With summer heat comes the kids constantly begging for ice cream, popsicles and anything they can get their hands on that is COLD. Recently it was too hot outside for them to play so we decided to turn our love for ice cream up a notch and make these super easy cookie cups. Aside from the ice cream I think that the kids have been living in the water this summer. My daughter has spent every single day for the past two weeks in the kiddie pool or running through the sprinklers. I'm glad that she is getting off the couch and getting outside. It is wonderful to hear the laughter of the neighborhood children as they all splash and play outside together. How have your and/or your kids been keeping cool this summer? As for me I have been trying to hike … [Read more...]

Lovin’ My Portable Stereo Turntable
** I was sent this product for the purpose of this review. However my own opinion was used and not influenced in any way. Lovin' My Portable Stereo Turntable A few months ago my daughter and I were shopping at an antique store. I remember coming around a corner and seeing some records to which my daughter immoderately asked "What the heck are these Mom? They look like big CD's." I was honestly surprised that she did not know what they were. She is 11 years old! I grew up with a turntable in my room and listened to records all the time. I guess I took that for granted and just expected her to know lol. I explained to her what they were and we ended up searching around the antique store until finding a turntable. I showed her how it would work and such...she was so curious and amazed. Fast forward a few weeks and I got a surprising email asking me if I would be interested in reviewing..guess what...a turntable! YAY! I of course said yes and immediately went down town … [Read more...]

Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors Movie Review
** I was provided with a copy of this title for the purpose of this review. However, my own opinion was used and not influenced in any way. Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors Movie Review I am so happy to say that I grew up with Dolly Parton's music. I can still hear my Momma's voice singing Coat of Many Colors which is one of her favorite songs. I also remember my Mom telling me a story when I was little about how it was my Grandmothers dream in life to do Dolly Parton's nails. Just thought you all would like to know those interesting little tid bits! :) Recently I was able to review Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors Movie. I must say that I was thrilled when it arrived because I was able to watch it on T.V. and could not wait to see it again! I loved this movie and the look into her life when she was younger. It is also refreshing to be able to watch something so uplifting, refreshing and wholesome. I love that Dolly's faith and family shined through in this movie and … [Read more...]
Rice Krispies Golf Ball Treats!
Rice Krispies Golf Ball Treats! I am excited for Fathers Day this year. Not only is my little brother getting married that week but for the first time in a long, long time all of my brothers and I will be with our Dad. To make it even more special I will also be able to spend it with my husband and two daughters! We are going to have a blast in Salt Lake City together and plan on going to Lagoon which is my husband and daughters favorite place next to Disneyland! I am blessed to have an amazing Dad. I can remember doing so many fun and wonderful things with him. One of which was golfing. He started this hobby when I was finishing up high school. It was fun to be able to hit the green with my Dad and spend that time bonding. I have not been able to golf with him in several years as I moved away from home 8 years ago and just have not made the time to go golfing since..but these treats really make me want to make the time to do it again and I can't wait. This recipe … [Read more...]
