My Thoughts on Preschool is Cool: Counting With Elmo Ok I am going to tell you all something crazy. I never saw Sesame Street as a kid. That is crazy Right? I mean everyone watched Sesame Street when I was a kid. I don’t know why I never watched it but always felt a little left out when all of my friends talked about it. Ok enough with that. I was able to review Preschool is Cool! Counting with Elmo and since I want to make sure my daughter never misses out on the benefits of watching Sesame Street I knew I had to review this! Elmo seems to be one of the top favorite characters on the show. I myself love Elmo as well. Elmo is so cute, fluffy, and red. Counting with Elmo had Professor Grover as a teacher for your young children. Elmo is the "big helper" for Grover’s counting lesson. But, during the movie Grover seems to have forgotten some of the numbers and he must rely on Elmo and the other students to help him out. I love the creative stories that Sesame Street comes … [Read more...]
Nora Jones ‘Featuring’ CD
My Thoughts on Nora Jones new album Featuring…. I am a big Nora Jones fan! I have been since the first time I heard her jazzy voice. There is just something about jazz and blues that I love! Nora has a new CD out entitled ‘Featuring’. Now you might think that is a weird name for a CD but in actuality it fits perfectly! Nora’s new CD is filled with songs that she sings with other artists such as The Foo fighters, Willie Nelson, Outlast, Ray Charles, Ryan Adams, and Dolly Parton just to name a few! Wow was I taken away with this CD! I love the arrangements and the way her voice blends with the other artists! This is a must have CD if you are a fan of jazz! Plus listening to the way she conquers the different styles of music is remarkable! From Country to Hip-Hop Nora can blend and jive with the best of them! ...Featuring Track Listing: 1. Love Me – The Little Willies 2. Virginia Moon – The Foo Fighters featuring Norah Jones 3. Turn Them – Sean Bones featuring Norah … [Read more...]
Angelina Ballerina: Love To Dance Review
My Thoughts Angelina Ballerina Love To Dance I would have loved the cartoon Angelina Ballerina when I was a child. I was a ballet dancer but none if my favorite cartoon characters were ballet dancers. I received Angelina Ballerina: Love to Dance movie and I just love it. In fact I am the one that begs to watch it most of the time. I love that my daughter is learning about different kinds of music and dance while she is watching the entertaining movie. My daughter enjoys getting off the couch and practicing her ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and even river dance moves! At the beginning of the movie Angelina was trying to be something she was not. This movie shows that we all have different interests and we are each our own individual! It also teaches the kids that we should never change who we are to impress someone else. The movie teaches about what life would be like if we were all exactly the same. It would be dull as they say! What a cute movie! I can't wait to see what … [Read more...]
Really Wooly Kids Trusting In The Shepherd Review
My Thoughts Really Woolly Kids Trusting In The Shepherd I have a "Sunday box" of items for my daughter to help her to keep the Sabbath day holy. I am so excited because this week I added another fun movie to her “Sunday Box”! Really Woolly kids Trusting In The Shepherd is a cute animated movie that has lovable characters and teaches the children about Jesus. I love that Really Woolly Kids take everyday childhood situations and teaches the children that through prayer and faith they can overcome anything. The two cute stories in Trusting The Shepherd are about conquering fear. The entire DVD is centered on Psalm 23:4 and there is even a cute little song to help the children learn the scripture. I know that scripture memory is very important to me. In fact not only do I try to get my daughter to memorize important scriptures but I also give out little encouraging gifts to my Primary class for each scripture that they memorize that pertains to our Sunday lessons. I can’t wait to … [Read more...]

Meet Mother Gothel! Disney’s Tangled!
The Way Home Movie Review
My Thoughts on The Way Home Starring Dean Cain I just spent the last two hours crying my eyes out. It was in a good way if that makes any sense. The Way Home staring Dean Cain is one of the most heartfelt; cry your eyes out movies I have seen in a long time. The Way Home is a true story about a father who is wrapped up in his work. Most of us know that sadly this is something that happens more often than not. The world around us is demanding and sometimes expects too much and we spend our days just trying to succeed and catch up in life and forget about what truly matters. Dean Cain plays the role of Randy Simpkins who one afternoon while getting ready to leave on a family vacation was supposed to be tending his two year old son Joe. Randy steps away to take care of stuff for work. While away his son Joe disappears. Where? No one knows? Randy and his wife Crystal search frantically and can't seem to find any clues. Calling the authorities and a few family members turns into a … [Read more...]

Disney’s Have A Laugh Review
My Thoughts on Disney’s Have A Laugh So whatever happened to the good cartoons? You know the ones that we watched when we were younger? The cartoons that we would love for our kids to watch now? Disney’s is fixing that problem! They have released Have A Laugh volumes 1 and 2! What is that you wonder? Well they are the only Mickey cartoons that we all know and love! I know that the past week my daughter and day care kids have had many laughs as they have watched the DVD’s time and again! At least with Disney I know that I can put the DVD in and walk away without wondering what the children are watching. Disney is known for the wholesome family values that they instill in everything they do. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto are all characters that we know and trust! It was fun to sit and watch these cartoons with my family. Many of them I remember watching when I was young and many of them I never seen. I love that there is now a place to go for the Disney cartoons without … [Read more...]
Bringing Up Bobby Movie Review
My Thoughts on Bringing Up Bobby Bringing up Bobby. What can I say? It is a movie about finding yourself and your way to God. Bobby's family is falling apart and Bobby is lost in a world where he is trying to find the person he needs to be. Loving his gothic style life is not enough for him any longer. Especially with the new student Liz around. Bobby will do anything to get her attention but Liz like his brother just wants Bobby to figure out who he really is. When times get hard and Bobby's family is at war over their parents will. Bobby realizes who he is and gives up his inheritance to help save a friend in need. My family and I enjoyed Bringing Up Bobby. The uplifting story about finding yourself and in turn finding god. I would like to think that if faced with that situation I too would be like Bobby and give up everything for a friend in need. Bobby and his brother did what was right and in the long run it paid off for them both. I love movies that focus on the love of the … [Read more...]
Upside Movie Review
My Thoughts on Upside I just watched one of the best most uplifting movies ever. Upside staring Randall Bentley Is a movie about a boy that has had his world turned upside down. Literally! After a lacrosse accident Soli (Randall) wakes up to realize that his vision is upside down. As he leaves the hospital Soli embarks on a journey of life. On one side he has his life before the accident and on the other he has this new grown up life that is staring him in the face. Part if his new life is him learning about the Lord which is something he has never done before. But after a miracle that happens to him there is no way he can deny the Lord! Soli will go through the troubles of not only seeing upside down but also issues with a girlfriend whom he really is starting to fall in love with and a mother that he does not have a close relationship with. I love the movie Upside. It has been a long time since I have seen a good uplifting movie that made me feel good while making me think about my … [Read more...]

KT Tunstall’s Tiger Suit Review
My Thoughts on KT Tunstall Tiger Suit Now I must be honest and say before being offered to review KT Tunstall’s new CD I had not heard of her. Okay at least I thought I had not. But, then I had a friend stop by and sing one of KT’s songs and I did recognize it. But, as far as anything else about her I did not know anything. KT was nominated for a Grammy with her song “Black Horse and A Cherry Tree.” And has other hits such as “Suddenly I See,” “Other Side of The World,” and “Hold On.” KT Tunstall was born in Scotland and just recently released her new CD titled Tiger Suit. Now you know that I always rate my music by two options. One-Music for cleaning my house or number two- Music for relaxing. KT Tunstall’s CD was really not suitable for either category. I felt that her music was a little harder than the typical CD’s that I buy. Not that it is heavy rock or anything but it was really not a dancing type of beat and was defiantly not a relaxing type of beat. But I really enjoyed … [Read more...]
