My Thoughts on Nora Jones new album Featuring…. I am a big Nora Jones fan! I have been since the first time I heard her jazzy voice. There is just something about jazz and blues that I love! Nora has a new CD out entitled ‘Featuring’. Now you might think that is a weird name for a CD but in actuality it fits perfectly! Nora’s new CD is filled with songs that she sings with other artists such as The Foo fighters, Willie Nelson, Outlast, Ray Charles, Ryan Adams, and Dolly Parton just to name a few! Wow was I taken away with this CD! I love the arrangements and the way her voice blends with the other artists! This is a must have CD if you are a fan of jazz! My Thoughts on Trivial Pursuit: Bet You Know It I have purchased many Trivial Pursuit games in my life. But, I will admit that I am horrible at the trivia questions and was never able to win a game..... that is until Now!! Trivial Pursuit: Bet You Know It, allows you to do what? Well, BET on if a player knows the answer to a question or not. This in my opinion is an awesome feature because well... I can earn chips by betting on players! My Thoughts Angelina Ballerina Love To Dance I would have loved the cartoon Angelina Ballerina when I was a child. I was a ballet dancer but none if my favorite cartoon characters were ballet dancers. I received Angelina Ballerina: Love to Dance movie and I just love it. In fact I am the one that begs to watch it most of the time. I love that my daughter is learning about different kinds of music and dance while she is watching the entertaining movie. My daughter enjoys getting off the couch and practicing her ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and even river dance moves! At the beginning of the movie Angelina was trying to be something she was not. This movie shows that we all have different interests and we are each our own individual! It also teaches the kids that we should never change who we are to impress someone else. Really Wooly Kids Trusting In The Shepherd Review
My Thoughts Really Woolly Kids Trusting In The Shepherd I have a "Sunday box" of items for my daughter to help her to keep the Sabbath day holy. I am so excited because this week I added another fun movie to her “Sunday Box”! Really Woolly kids Trusting In The Shepherd is a cute animated movie that has lovable characters and teaches the children about Jesus. I love that Really Woolly Kids take everyday childhood situations and teaches the children that through prayer and faith they can overcome anything. The two cute stories in Trusting The Shepherd are about conquering fear. The entire DVD is centered on Psalm 23:4 and there is even a cute little song to help the children learn the scripture. I know that scripture memory is very important to me. In fact not only do I try to get my daughter to memorize important scriptures but I also give out little encouraging gifts to my Primary class for each scripture that they memorize that pertains to our Sunday lessons. My Thoughts on Bella Sara When I was a kid I wanted to be taken to a mystical place. I dreamt of a land full of unicorns and flying horses. My Thoughts on Misikko Misikko is a product I have seen all over the blogosphere and decided I wanted to share it with my readers as well. Growing up my Mom and Grandma ran a day spa and beauty parlor and something I knows thing or two about is hair care! I received Misikko’s Hana Shineshield as well as Chi Silk Infusion to review. One thing I noticed right away was how little you need to use of both products. If you get too much then your hair will look greasy and that is not a look you want. After my “oops” with using too much of both products at the same time I finally figured out the accurate amount for my hair. After that everything was wonderful! Hasbro’s Nab-It Review and Giveaway
My Thoughts on Hasbro’s Nab-It! I have told you all more than once about how much my family loves to play games! Well I am happy to say that I have yet another Hasbro game that I was able to review! It is even one I had never heard of before. Nab-It is a lot like Scrabble but you are also able to stack the letters. Each letter hooks together in crossword fashion and you are also able to still words from other players by adding letters on top of theirs! Nab-It has been awesome for my daughter because she has been learning about rhyming words at school and now is able to rhyme while she is taking our words! Nab-It has also allowed her to work on her spelling! Nab-It is for 2-4 players and recommended for ages 8+. It contains 100 two-sided letter tiles, 4 gray bank tiles, 4 letter bags and rules. My Thoughts on Barefoot Books Let me start out by saying that I was pleasantly surprised by just how many books barefoot books has to offer. Their 2010-2011 catalogs is much larger then you would expect and of course everything looks so wonderful that now I want to read all of those little books to my daughter and other day care kids. Unfortunately at this time I only have one book but I also know that this will not be the last one I read from Barefoot Books! My Thoughts on Red Chair Press Children’s book companies are one of my favorite companies to work with. I love the benefits that reading can give a child. Red Chair Press has cute little stories and makes easy readers to help aid in teaching the kiddos to read. I was sent The Best Birthday Gift by Barbara Bakowski to read and review with my daughter. The Best Birthday Gift is an easy reader and I love that the last page of the book has a question about the story. It is important to know if the children comprehend what they are reading. There is also a list of the big words in the story along with their definition. I love this feature because even early readers need to push the children. My Fuzzoodles House Partypalooza!
My Thoughts on Fuzzoodles I was thrilled to be able to host a Fuzzoodles House Party! Half of my daughters Kindergarten class was there and they also brought along their siblings! YAY! We had a total of 23 kids and 14 parents when all was said and done! The Fuzzoodles are a very fun craft. They are recommended for ages 5-7. I agree with the age group but think that 7-12 would really enjoy these as well. I did notice that while there were so many children at my house that some of them lost interest fast and wanted to do other things but when left in a small group they played more with the Fuzzoodles. I love that you can take them apart and re-create a new Fuzzoodle! I also heard feedback from some of the parents saying that they loved that Fuzzoodles is a craft their child can do without the use of scissors and glue! They are also mess free! My Thoughts on Milly It is the holiday season and this year I know of a little stuffed kitten that you will want to have in your little girls stocking! She is Pink and cuddly!
