Finishing School Review

Posted on March 10, 2011 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

On The Back No smoking. No drinking. No lipstick. Pretty Virginia Radcliffe(Frances Dee) earnestly accepts the strict rules enforced by exclusive CrockettHall. Have a smoke, have a drink and have a wild weekend in New York, suggestsher roommate Pony Ferris (Ginger Rogers), who knows the rules have nothing todo with the girls’ welfare and everything to do with the school’s reputation.Adorably worldly, appealingly smart, third-billed Rogers steals the show inFinishing School, giving pretense a swift kick in the comedy keister as shemother-hens her classmates through a booze-and-bad-boy Manhattan fling. Thefrank pre-Code storyline even allows innocent Virginia to wind up pregnant…andunpunished. My Thoughts on Finishing School Frances Dee and Ginger Rogers! Need I say more? Most of you have readthat I am an old film buff! I love my old movies and this is the second onethat Warner Brothers sent me this month that I had never before seen. FinishingSchool is everything you would … [Read more...]

Pookster and Bubs Review

Posted on March 10, 2011 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

On The Back of Pookster and the Practically Perfect Pickle Pookster is very protective of her pickles. So when her brother Bubsbrings his toy soldiers to the table during her pickle eating break, she thinksthey are there to swipe her green treat and take it to their leader. Planningfor the battle of Kosher Dills, Pookster assumes the worst, and does what anynormal little girl would do…. Pookster’s choice of sweet or sour words will mean the differencebetween keeping her pickle….or losing it to Mommy forces! This silly story about an over-protective pickle eater teaches avaluable lesson on kindness and how our sweet words glorify God, but our sourwords hurt people. On The Back of Pookster and the Unloose Tooth Meet Pookster- a littlegirl who just happens to think that teeth are highly overrated and keeping themin too long can be hazardous to your health. Meet Bubs- her big brother whowould be perfectly okay if a tooth NEVER came loose! Too bad Pookster has tolearn … [Read more...]

On The Back An entire generation of young women are being consumed by today’sdating trend; immersing them in various dating relationships. Linda Eder ‘Now’ Album Review!

Posted on March 10, 2011 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

My Thoughts on Linda Eder Now You all know that when I post a music review I like to rate it by two categories.First the music I listen to while cleaning my house, and second the music Ilike to listen to while relaxing in a nice hot bubble bath. When I heard the beginningnotes of Linda Eder’s ‘Now’ album I thought that it would defiantly be arelaxing type cd. But after just a few more notes I realized that it had areally good beat to it and I could see myself dancing a tango around the housewhile I cleaned! The first song was a grab the mop and use it as a microphonetype of song. But then the second one started and I was back to relaxing andbubble bath music. I love the mix of music that can be found on Linda Eder’s ‘Now’ album. Ialso love the purity that can be found in her voice. She is a powerful singerand uses her voice to pull you into each song that she sings. Her album isfilled with powerful ballads with the occasional up beat tune. I had not heardof Linda Eder … [Read more...]

Posted on March 9, 2011 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

My Thoughts on Puristics I have always had problems with acne. I thought that when I became awife and mother that it would go away but it has not. I am self conscious aboutmy skin because of red blots that have been left behind from years of acne. I received Puristics Daily Anti-Aging, Night Recovery, and IntensiveEye for the purpose of my review. The purpose of the products is to correct linesand wrinkles, prevent skin aging, and hydrate for younger looking skin. Nowheredid it say that in just two days my red blotches and acne would be gone! For methat is amazing! For the first time in more than 8 years I felt comfortable leavingmy house without make up on. Now I know that none of you know me that well butfor those that do they would know that this is a miracle that just does nothappen. I also found that with the Intensive Eye cream my dark circles under myeyes significantly lightened! Even my daughter asked me where the dark under myeyes went! I also like the … [Read more...]
