I’m a new mom to a beautiful baby girl named Monet. How did you decide on your shop name? I thought it would be special to name it after my daughter Who taught you how to make the pendants? I bought a pendant for a good friend of mine, and thought it would be a great hobby and something fun for me to do being a stay at home mom. So I bought a starter kit and went from there.   Getting To know Lori (LilPeacock) Where are you from? and a little about you. I live in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, which is on the east coast of Vancouver Island. We have the best weather in all of Canada! Never too hot, never too cold, just perfect.   Getting to know Lis (lisbokt) Where are you from? And a little bit about you I am a German happily living in Michigan, where I've been for about 6 years. I have an extremely varied background - I'm actually trained as a scientist (Astronomer) but I've also had a lot of artistic training. I did formal training in floral design and watercolor painting, and I was an apprentice for two years in traditional calligraphy. I love art, and try to learn as much about it and do as much of it as I can. How did you learn woodworking? Wood has been a favorite material of mine for ages. I started with wood building to-scale dollhouses; I've done quite a bit of painting on them, and then over the past couple of years have worked my way into actually using the wood as the final product. My favorite thing to do in the morning is roll out of bed and place my feet into nice warm slippers! I love slippers. But I am picky about what slippers I love. I have to have a heel on my slippers so my foot does not get cold. I also do not want them to be too thick; I want my foot to breath. Although, the big bulky Scooby doo, penguin, or Hello Kitty was fun as a kid they no longer let me have the freedom of tucking one foot under me comfortably when I sit.
