I will admit that I am one of those women that have more clothes than I actually wear. I would say about 85% of my closet has not seen the light of day for over a year.
In the first chapter of this book Kim talks about getting rid of the clothes that you don’t wear. It was hard for me but I did. I guess that the clothes that I wore in high school 8 years ago will honestly probably never fit me again. I have been holding on to them in hopes of me one day being that size again ..HA! And after reading the first chapter and Kim’s words I also realized that even if I do become that size again I am not that same person. Kim talks about how we change with the seasons. We need to feel comfortable in the clothes that we wear. We need to be honest with ourselves when we try something on and look in the mirror. In the book Kim talks about how most women suck in their tummy or stretch out their back to make them look taller when they are looking in the mirror. But that is not how people see us when we are out in public. I know that when I am in front of the mirror I tuck in my tummy, raise my chin higher and pull my shoulders back. Although, after thinking about it I don’t do that when I am anywhere else….just in front of the mirror!
Kim takes you on a journey to help you better understand the clothes that you wear. She will help you clean out that closet and put you into a “feel good closet” that only contains items you enjoy wearing! What a perfect book for spring and the change into this new season!
