My Thoughts on The Complete IdiotsGuide to Understanding Mormonism
I am quickly becoming addicted toComplete Idiots Guide Books! Why? Because they are written by people who knowwhat they are talking about and they are broken down into words that Iunderstand! The most recent Complete IdiotsGuide book that I read was Understanding Mormonism. I chose this book because Iam LDS and there are many aspects of my religion that I still don’t reallyknow. And because I wanted to have knowledge to base it off of to see howaccurate it was since religion can be a touchy subject. Plus I wanted to makesure that the Complete Idiots Guide books were written by a religious expertwho knew what they were talking about.
I was thrilled with this book! Notonly did it explain our religion perfectly but it also went in deeper than Ihad ever thought! There were many parts of this book that had me pulling out myscriptures to learn more! I love how nicely Author Drew Williams brokeeverything down into sections and had scriptures and references to back it up!In this book Drew goes into detail about the Book of Mormon and what it is aswell as how the church got started by the Prophet Joseph Smith. There are alsomany interesting facts about the Bible and Drew will let the reader know what truthis and what myth is when it comes to our religion.
I am well pleased with this bookjust as I thought I would be! Since reading The Complete Idiots Guide toUnderstanding Mormonism I have passed it on to two of my relatives who werejust as thrilled with this book as I was! I cannot stress enough how wonderfulComplete Idiots Guide Books are! If there is ever anything you want to knowmore about or understand they should be your first book purchase!!
