Sofia Wylie Makes Her Musical Performance Debut With New Marvel Rising Single “Side By Side”

(Glendale, CA) January 14, 2019 – The wait for new Marvel Rising content is almost over! Marvel announced today that the brand-new 22-minute animated special Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts will premiere on Wednesday, January 16 at 4:00PM PT on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel. Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts will also be available on DisneyNOW as of Friday, February 1st.
Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts features the return of Dove Cameron (“Descendants 3”) and Booboo Stewart (“Descendants 3”) in the brand-new special that follows fan-favorite Ghost-Spider teaming-up with the Secret Warriors to bring down the villains Sheath and Exile for good. Can team leader Quake (Chloe Bennet of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) convince Ghost-Spider to join the team for good?
Disney Channel star Sofia Wylie (“Andi Mack”) unveils her first-ever musical performance for the animated special with a song titled “Side By Side.” On January 18, the DisneyMusicVEVO YouTube channel will premiere a behind-the-scenes look at Sofia Wylie’s recording process in an exclusive music featurette.
In conjunction with the premiere of Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts, select voice talent from the special, including Tyler Posey, Booboo Stewart, Kathreen Khavari, Kamil McFadden, and Roger Craig Smith, will be live-chatting with fans on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel on Wednesday, January 16at 4:00PM PT.

Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts stars Dove Cameron as Ghost-Spider, and features the return of Tyler Posey as Inferno, Chloe Bennet as Quake, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Booboo Stewart as Exile, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Skai Jackson as Gloria Grant, Dee Bradley Baker as Lockjaw/Tippy-Toe, Steven Weber as Captain Stacy, Tara Strong as Mary Jane Watson, and Amanda C. Miller as Sheath.
Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts is executive produced by Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley, Cort Lane, and Eric Radomski; co-executive produced by Stan Lee, Sana Amanat, and Marsha Griffin. The special was written by Mairghread Scott. Alfred Gimeno served as supervising animation producer and director.
“Side By Side” was written by Doug Rockwell and Tova Litvin; produced, mixed, and mastered by Doug Rockwell and is published by Marvel Comics Music, Inc. (ASCAP) and Marvel Superheroes Music (BMI). The digital single will be available on January 18 from Walt Disney Records.
