Disney's Frozen Books   It is no secret that Disney's Frozen is a huge success. It does not matter your age or gender....people love this movie. My daughter and I are among the fans of Disney's Frozen. We just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago and my daughter has watched it every day since then. Recently I was also sent some amazing Disney Frozen books for the purpose of this review. I was excited because I knew that the fun did not have to stop with the movie. It could go on and on with these fun-loving books! Disney Frozen – A Sister More Like Me by Barbara Jean Hicks   If you have seen the Disney's Frozen then you know just how hard it was for the girls to grow up so differently. Elsa was terrified of hurting her sister and Anna is a free spirit who does not understand why her sister shuts her out. As you can imagine these two sisters must have had a lot going on in their minds. In this book A Sister More Like Me you will read about how both of … [Read more...]

Posted on May 12, 2014 / By: Krista 1 Comment

Whistlefritz – French for Kids Review & Giveaway! Ends 5/26/14!   My daughter has been learning Latin and Spanish since she was in kindergarten and I am happy to now say that she is adding french to that list as well. Her Latin and Spanish have been part of her schooling and now we are learning some French together at home. Recently I was sent a copy of Wistlefritz French Learning Songs on CD and their French for kids DVD. I enjoy learning new things and the songs and the way that they teach the kids is so upbeat. My daughter and I could not resist dancing along to the music on the CD and laughing and learning along with the DVD. This is honestly something I would purchase for her in the future now that I have seen how well they really do work. My daughter might not know the exact words she is singing yet but she is able to sing along with the songs easily and she loves it! Allons Danser! Let's Dance!   French Learning Songs   Quand Je Serai … [Read more...]

Adventure Time The Suitor

Posted on May 9, 2014 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

Adventure Time The Suitor   My daughter talks about Adventure Time all the time. Adventure Time is a show I had never watched until recently when a copy of Adventure Time The Suitor arrived at my door for the purpose of this review.   Adventure Time The Suitor DVD will be available for purchase Mary 6, 2014 with a pre-order date of April 1,2014. The Adventure Time The Suitor DVD has 16 full-length episodes with almost 3 hours of cartoon fun. I was able to watch Adventure Time The Suitor with my daughter and her friends. I will admit that I did not get it. It was a cute cartoon but it was not as entertaining to me as it was the children. They loved it! I guess I will just have to face the fact that there is a generation gap with this cartoon....but I can live with that :). Adventure Time is rated PG and is a great cartoon for the kids!   On The Back Welcome to volume 6! Peppermint Butler is here to serve you and all of your Adventure Time needs. At a … [Read more...]

Posted on May 8, 2014 / By: Krista 15 Comments

Almondina Biscuits Review & Giveaway Ends 5/22/14   This past year I have been making a lot of changes to my diet. I am over weight and tired of it so I knew that I needed to make some drastic changes. As some of you might have read in my previous posts I have decided that unless something has some nutritional value I will not be putting it into my body. In the beginning this was not easy for me. Especially when my body would start to crave sweets....but that is why I have started stocking my cupboards full of the healthier options. Options like these Almondina Biscuits that I was sent for the purpose of this review. Almondina Biscuits come in a large variety of flavors and they actually contain some of the healthy stuff like protein, vitamins and calcium. I also love knowing that Almondina Biscuits do not contain any cholesterol, added fat, trans-fats, salt, or preservatives. These Alomdina Biscuits have honestly helped me kick some of my fatty food cravings. … [Read more...]

Posted on May 8, 2014 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

It's About Time by Pascale Estellon   Thanks to Owl Kids I was sent a copy of It's About Time for the purpose of this review. As most of you know I have decided to take that step into home schooling. It is important to me for my child to have the best education possible and luckily I don't have to do it alone. I have always been an advocate for my daughters education. I have always encouraged her to play with toys, read books and watch t.v. shows that were educational. Thanks to It's About Time by Pascale Estellon I now have a new book to add to the collection. In It's About Time your children will not only learn about time. But, they will also experience hands on activities and games that include you. For example my favorite part of the book is when the kids are learning about how long an hour is....you actually will get to read a recipe and bake a cake with your kiddo's to teach them how long an hour is and how much you can get done in that time frame. I love … [Read more...]

Gorton’s Artisan Fillets Review!

Posted on May 6, 2014 / By: Krista Leave a Comment

Gorton's Artisan Fillets   Part of my New Year's Resolution this year was to eat less junk and more healthy food. This included cutting down on my red meat intake and eating more fish. Thanks to Gorton's I have not broke my resolution yet!   When I was a kid my parents never purchased frozen fish. We went fishing constantly as a family and always had fresh trout for dinners. This is something that we still do as a family but living in Colorado there are just some fish that we can't catch in our local waterways. Because of this I have been branching out with my dinners and making more fish that is purchased from the store. Recently Gorton's came out with some new Artisan Fillets and for the purpose of this review Gorton's sent me some product coupons so that I could try them out. I have never tried Gorton's fish before. I know that might sound crazy to some of you since Gorton's has been around for so long. But, I really had never tried them. As I went to the … [Read more...]
