Wherever The River Runs by Kelly Minter
I dream of one day being able to go on a mission for the Lord. A mission where I am able to go to a foreign country and help those who have a need unlike anything I have ever known. That is exactly what Kelly Minter was able to do in Wherever the River Runs.
In this book you will be taken on a journey with Kelly through the Amazon. In this book you will read about the wonderful people she met and the stories about how her and her friends helped those around her. Truly inspiring. But of course just as you would expect this book also has a much deeper meaning. How could you not make a visit to the jungles of the Amazon and not come home a changed person?
Can you imagine being taken from your comforts of home? Seeing people around you who live on dirt floors? Who are lucky to have a home? Who live with their homes getting flooded half the year? To see children working hard to help feed their families? It is beautiful to see how the Lord works his light into all of our lives and he does not forget about any of this children. No matter if they are a multimillionaire CEO for a corporation or the boy who carries a pot to school every day in hopes that someone will help him feel it with food. The Lord loves us ALL!
I know that right now in my life it is not possible for me to go on a trip like this. That of course does not mean that I can’t help those who are around me. I am also so very glad that Kelly was able to take an inspirational trip like this. I am so glad that when she got home she decided to write and publish a book about it and I am so glad that this book was laid in my path. Reading Wherever the River Runs will help to not only open your eyes and be grateful for what you have. But it will also inspire you to give aid to those around you!
This is an uplifting read that I am sure all of you would enjoy. I also now know that if given the chance to take a trip down the Amazon, I would do it!
On The Back
In Wherever the River Runs, Kelly Minter invites us on a journey down a river teeming with piranhas and caimans, as well as machete-wielding mothers, heroic jungle pastors, faith-filled children, and miracles too seldom experienced in our part of the world. Kelly’s honest and engaging narrative pulls back the curtain on one of the most captivating places on earth as well as on parts of the gospel we may be able to recite but never fully believed.
On this beautiful adventure through the jungles of Brazil and the tangles of the soul, Kelly rediscovers Jesus among a forgotten people living well beyond the corners of her previously defined faith – a people who draw her back to their country, their pain, and their hope in Him, again and again.
How would you like to win a copy of Kelly Minter’s Wherever The River Runs? I am happy to say that one lucky US or Canadian reader will be able to do just that! Good Luck!

I like the fleur de lis cross.
I really need a study bible I gave mine away years ago and that was a bad move for me personally, I never studied as diligently as I did then. I really need one! So anyway I would choose a MacArthur study bible, probably the personal size one.
Love her studies. Looking forward to reading her latest book.

They have a lot of really great fall decor. With the change in weather and this crisp morning air I feel the need to decorate for fall.
