A copy of Thunder – Stone Braide Chronicles was mailed to me for the purpose of this review. When it arrived I was not sure what to expect. All I knew of the book is what I had seen on the trailer. I must say that the trailer had me intrigued. So much so that I will now give you time to watch it! 🙂

Thunder – Stone Braide Chronicles takes place in the future. A future very unlike our own. It seems that over a hundred years ago there was a nuclear bomb set off in the U.S. The book revolves around the relatives of the survivors. It seems that even after 150 years there are still lots of ramifications. For example limited food sources due to radiation poisoning in the animals and water streams. The people no longer have today’s technology and have had to re-learn how to hunt for their food and they have to make back handed deals with the government to survive.
Meanwhile the government has it pretty good living inside of the mountain. You know the one…the mountain that they would send the president to for protection should anything like this ever really happen….
In this book it is not just the common people. There area a different bread of people called the Landerers. These people are hated by the every day people like you and me…and they are even more hated by the government. The hatred for these people has grown throughout the years and is now to the point of them being hunted. The government will pay a pretty penny for any of these people who contain their special winged mark.
In this story you will follow along with Selah. A once ordinary person who wanted to help her family capture these Landerers…that was until one of them did something unthinkable to her. Just a quick touch and she became a Landerer over night. Now she, who once did the hunting, became the hunted!

I watched the trailer, and I am interested in the book. I adore dystopian fiction, and I would like to check this out.
The thing I’m most excited about this book is the dystopian setting. It’s a hot genre right now, and I’m glad to see Christian authors getting into it.
I like dystopian stories- this one has the potential to be a good one!
