Slugterra: Return Of The Elementals
For the past couple of years my daughters favorite cartoon on T.V. has been Slugterra. It is a huge hit among the kids which is why Slugterra will be hitting theaters TODAY ( 8/02/14)!
Thanks to Shout Factory I was sent a copy of Slugterra: Return Of The Elementals for the purpose of this review. I was thrilled to be able to see this early with my daughter. In this movie you will be taken on an adventure with Eli and the Shane Gang as they go through the 99 caverns to find the legendary elemental slugs. These slugs have great power and are the ancestors of all slugs in Slugterra.
Synopsis
A new member has joined Eli and the Shane Gang! Junjie, once a protector of the Eastern Caverns, is a master of the sluglinging art of Slug Fu. But even with the power of the five slingers, the Shane Gang find themselves in over their heads as they race across the 99 caverns in search of the legendary elemental slugs. The five elementals are ancient slugs of great power, and the ancestors of all slugs found in Slugterra today. In the wrong hands, they could bring Slugterra to the brink of destruction. So when an evil alliance starts hunting down the elementals, Eli and his friends – old and new – take off in pursuit of the greatest threat their world has ever faced.
In this epic sci-fi adventure set deep underground, the ammo’s alive and only the quick survive! Only by collecting and training little critters called slugs and shooting them out of high-powered blasters can our hero, Eli Shane, hope to defeat the forces of evil! Did we mention the part where the slugs transform into powerful battle beasts? That part’s AWESOME.
