Bagel Thins, Pocket Thins & Sandwich Thins Review & Italian Sausage Sandwich Recipe
I have really been focusing on what I put into my body. I am focusing more on multi-grains and less carbs (unless they are healthy carbs). That is why I feel in love with these amazing Sandwich Thins, Pocket Thins and Bagel Thins!
Recently as I was looking through the grocery aisles I came across Thomas Bagel Thins. I love to eat bagels in the morning but I had pretty much given them up since they were so high in calories. Bagel Thins have now offered me a way to eat one of my favorite snacks and not feel so guilty for doing it!
Along with Thomas’s Bagel Thins I have now also started to eat Oroweat Sandwich Thins and Oroweat Pocket Thins. All of which are Weight Waters approved and just 110 calories or less! Not only are they less calories but you can also get your daily fiber and grains from their variety of flavors that include Healthy Multi-grain, Flax & Fiber and 100% Whole Wheat!
Thanks to these amazing companies I was sent some coupons to review Bagel Thins, Pocket Thins and Sandwich Thins. I had so many different recipe ideas going through my mind (and still do). That it was hard to come up with just one…but here it is!
Ingredients:
Oroweat Sandwich Thins
Pre-Cooked Italian Sausage Slices
Tomato Sauce
Sliced Onion
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
sliced pickled banana peppers
Directions:
To assemble the sandwich you just need to layer these ingredients onto your Sandwich Thins. I placed onion, sausage slices, 2 tbs tomato sauce and ¼ of mozzarella cheese on each sandwich.
Next I placed the sandwich in the microwave for 45 seconds just to melt the cheese.
Then I topped the sandwich with about 6-7 slices of banana peppers. Top it off with the top of the sandwich thin and your good to go!
These sandwiches were a huge hit at my house! My husband even decided to make an extra to take to work with him the next day! Yum!
You can make the above sandwich idea with any of the Sandwich Thins, Pocket Thins or Bagel Thins! My favorite way to eat the Bagel Thins is toasted in the toaster and then I make a sandwich with a scrambled egg, sliced cheese and piece of sausage! Delicious!
