My Thoughts on
Hey God, I’ve Got Some Guy Named Jonah in My Stomach and I Think I’m Gonna Throw Up! by Troy Schmidt, Illustrated by Cory Jones
The Whale Tells His Side of the Story
Have you ever wondered about how the whale felt when he swallowed a human? Just think, it could not have been easy on the whale to have a guy stuck in your stomach for days! He must have been horrified when Jonah entered his mouth…..
Recently I was able to find out thanks to the review copy I was sent! In this cute tale ‘Hey God, I’ve Got Some Guy Named Jonah in My Stomach and I Think I’m Gonna Throw Up’ you will finally get to read the whales side of the story. Why has he the whale that God choose to swallow this human? What did he do to deserve this? You will have to read and find out!
Troy Schmidt has written a few stories that go along with the bible stories that the kids know and love. Other stories include:
Hey God, I’m Having An Awful Vacation in Egypt Thanks To Moses and Hey God, Can You Stop The Rain so I Can Get Off Noah’s Stinky, Smelly Ark?
As most of you know if you have read my reviews on children’s books. I like books that have more interaction then just reading a story. In this book ‘Hey, God I’ve Got Some Guy Named Jonah in My Stomach and I Think I’m Going to Throw Up’ there is a parent interaction page at the back of the book. It will allow us as parents to not only read this super cute story with our children but also give you a list of questions that will help to open up Bible discussions with your little ones. There is also a ‘Do’ category on the Parent Connection page where it gives you ideas to do so that your child may better help to understand how Jonah might have felt inside that whale. I love this great book and all this wonderful interaction I was able to have with my daughter! Thank you Troy Schmidt! I can’t wait to read all your other books!
How would you like to win a copy of Hey God, I’ve Got Some Guy Named Jonah in My Stomach and I Think I’m Gonna Throw Up? I am excited to say that one international reader will be able to do just that! Good Luck!
