Quick and Easy Chocolate Pie

Quick and Easy Chocolate Pie

If you’ve been anywhere near a pharmacy or department store lately, you’ve probably been overwhelmed by the massive amounts of red, pink, hearts and baby cupids that have been popping up in every store window since New Year’s Day. While the flowery decorations and cheesy cards can often become a bit much as Valentine’s Day approaches, there’s one aspect of Valentine’s Day that most people never get tired of, and that’s chocolate!

Whether you’re partial to those giant heart boxes of chocolate from the drugstore or prefer to whip up something a little more gourmet in your own kitchen, Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for people everywhere—whether they’re in a relationship or not!—to indulge in a little bit of extra sweetness. If you’re looking to treat yourself or your sweetie to Valentine’s Day Desserts, this quick and easy chocolate pie makes an indulgent and extremely yummy dessert option that only takes 15 short minutes to prepare. Top with whipped cream and strawberries or raspberries for a simple, festive and delicious dessert!

Quick and Easy Chocolate Pie from Reddi-wip®

Prep Time: 15 min

Total Time: 6 ¼ hours

Serves: 8

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 5.9 oz package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • ½ cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate morsels, optional
  • 1 7 oz can Reddi-wip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping
  • 1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust
  • Additional Reddi-wip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping, crushed candy or mixed berries, optional

Directions

Pour milk into a medium bowl. Add dry pudding mix and beat with a wire whisk until blended and mixture just begins to thicken. Stir in chocolate morsels, if desired.

Add the contents of Reddi-wip can; stir gently but quickly until blended. Pour into crust and cover.

Refrigerate for 6 hours or until pie is set. Cut into 8 slices to serve. Garnish with additional Reddi-wip, crushed candy and berries, if desired.

Tip: If you’re a Rocky Road fan, omit the candy garnish and instead stir in ½ cup miniature marshmallows and ¼ cup coarsely chopped peanuts to the pudding mixture before pouring it into the pie shell. Continue as directed.
