Looking for Poster Size Picture Frames?

Posted on August 16, 2012 / By: Krista 2 Comments

If you are a reader of my blog you know that this year I have been trying to focus more on the decorations around my house and help bring each room together. I have been researching all kinds of sites and watching tons of TV shows on decorating! One of the aspects I have been focusing on the most is my walls! They are ALL plain white and very bare! I have found that posters are such a great way to add a little decoration and artwork to your walls without breaking the bank! You can purchase posters not only in prints of your favorite actor or band but also TV shows, movies and even copy's of some of your favorite artwork from many artists! Recently I even went as far as to print out many of our Disneyland vacation photo's in poster size prints to place around our house. As well as poster size prints of some of the school photo's I took of my daughter! With wholesaleposterframes.com I am able to take these awesome poster size prints to a whole new level as I am able to … [Read more...]

OpenOffice – Comparable to MS Office but FREE!

Posted on August 16, 2012 / By: Krista 2 Comments

About a year ago one of the worst things happened to me as a blogger. My computer crashed! This was tragic as I was not able to check my e-mail, post on my blog, or talk with any of you for about 2 weeks. When my computer crashed I immediately called my computer guy and told him I was done with my old desk top and I wanted a laptop that I could take with me to help me be able to blog from anywhere. That is when I got my Toshiba that I love SO much! One thing that was important to me was the cost of the computer. We did not have a lot of money at the time but I wanted to have something that would last. One way that computer guy said would be the best to cut down on money was the expensive Microsoft programs that I was purchasing. I did not know that there was a FREE alternative to Microsoft Office but I was excited to give OpenOffice a try! OpenOffice has everything you would want with the full Microsoft Office software. I am able to use spreadsheets, word processing … [Read more...]

Homemade Laundry Detergent! Up to 266 Loads for around $10!

Posted on August 16, 2012 / By: Krista 1 Comment

Homemade Laundry Detergent! By making your own homemade laundry soap you will be saving your family lots of $$ plus it's super fun and easy! Directions for 1 Batch: 1 cup Borax1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda1 grated up bar of soap Combine all ingredients in jar and shake until well mixed and no clumps of soap!  You will only need 1 Tbs per load! When I make a batch of Laundry Soap I like to use up all my ingredients so I make enough to try to use up the box's of Washing Soda and Borax. This takes a 1 gallon jar and 5 bars of Ivory Soap. (I know only 3 bars are pictured) You can also use Dove soap if you prefer. Ivory and Dove are by far my two favorites as they do not discolor your clothing and they wash the grease out of my husbands clothes! If you do 5 batches at a time like I do then it will equal 266 loads for around $10! That is an amazing price for laundry soap! Borax and Washing Soda can be found in the laundry soap aisle at your local Walmart or many other … [Read more...]
