See The Light Art Classes DVD Review and Giveaway!

I run an at home day care and the day that I watched SeeThe Light: Art Class I had 5 kids at my home. I decided to see how well theyeach did with the DVD and they were thrilled to get out the art supplies and learnto draw pictures. I was also excited because I knew the faith base that wasbehind these classes and three of the children do not get to hear of the Lordor the Bible on a daily basis.

I put in the DVD and the kids were instantly quiet. Theyenjoyed lesson one and was very excited to get to drawing. All together therewere four lessons and each one was about 10 minutes in length. This was perfectas the kids did not want to sit and listen for too long. By lesson three theyounger kids (2-3) were done with the video. Which was to be expected as theyare much too little. But the 5-8 year olds were still very interested andwatched the entire DVD! They loved the tips and tricks that they were taughtand had fun trying to draw the objects mentioned in each video. Even after theDVD was finished the kids grabbed some supplies and ventured out into otherrooms in the house and each picked out an item that they wanted to draw. Iloved this! Most of the kids spend their time in front of the T.V. and not doingextracurricular activities. Which I find very sad but that is how they areraised. Today they were interested in something more than just watchingcartoons. They were active and wanting to learn to draw! Some of the artworkconsisted of a Scooby Doo Toy, A monster truck, and a wooden chair. Eachdrawing was wonderful and done with such care!

I feel that the See The Light Art Class is for more thanjust kids! I have always wanted to learn how to draw as it is something thatmost of the members of my family are good at. I for one never really had theknack but maybe after taking time out and watching these classes for myself Iwill be able to draw more than a stick figure!
