My Thoughts on Oliver Kita Chocolate
I love chocolate but not cheap chocolate. There is something aboutexquisite chocolate that gets my blood a flowin’. Oliver Kita was able to getmy blood flowin’ more than any chocolate I have ever tasted! Never has thereEVER been so much pleasure in my mouth!
I was sent a box of Studio Collection Chocolates for the purposeof my review. When I first seen the box I knew it would be good chocolate! Therewas such care taken with the packaging to make sure my chocolates stayedperfect and beautiful; and boy was they! When I opened the box I was blown awayby all of the different sizes, shapes, colors, and even decorative imprints oneach piece of chocolate! Never before had I seen painted chocolate! They were trulya work of art! I took out the list of chocolates that were included and readoff names like Marzipan Grand Marnier, White Peaches and Cream, LavandreCitronade, Cognac Crème Brule, and Caramel du Sel! With names like that howcould they not be amazing!
The Chocolates came with a slip of paper that showed a picture ofthe chocolates and a number for each piece. Then there was a list (below) ofeach flavor as well as a description. This was a feature I loved and quicklypicked out the ones I could not wait to try!
1. BRUT – Dark, intense chocolate spectrum
with bold, slightly acidic fruityundertones.
2. MARZIPAN GRAND MARNIER – Fresh
roasted almonds lightly coated withhot sugar,
crushed and then ground into purealmond
paste, with a splash of GrandMarnier.
3. WHITE PEACHES & CREAM– Rich,
velvety, luscious summertime tastemade with
the slightly sweeter peach.
4. GALAXY WAY – Smooth, runny, chewy
gooey soft caramel that twists onthe tongue.
Crispy rice outside.
5. LAVANDRE CITRONADE– Lavender
with Lime – creamy citrus taste with light floral
lavender aroma.
6.COGNAC CRÉME BRULÉ– Caramelized
brown sugar and milk chocolateinterior with
vanilla and amber notes. Cognac topnote upon
the first taste.
7. CARAMEL du SEL– Pink SaltCaramels –
Pink Hawaiian sea salt accents thefresh butter and
full cream caramel; sweet and saltyperfection.
8. PALET d’ Or– Gold Palet – Milk and
dark chocolate blended together tobecome
goodness and pleasure all in thesame taste.
Slightly sweeter than Silver Palet.
9. TROIS PRÉTRES – ThreePriests – whole
caramelized almonds on a delicatewhite
chocolate disk dipped in darkchocolate.
10. ESPRESSO DOUBLE SHOT– Crushed
cacao nibs outside, dark ganachemade with
organic espresso on the inside.
11. PISTACHE CARRÉ– PistachioAlmond
Marzipan – made from scratch with fancy
pistachios, whole almonds and purecane sugar.
12. PALET d’ ARGENT – SilverPalet –
Venezuelan chocolate, known forsome of the
finest cacao around the equator.Dark, dramatic,
rich, long finish on the palate.
13. SCARLET CARAMEL – Sensual
strawberry and soft caramel
14. PALET d’ OLIVIER – Oliver’s black currant
love note to Paris: intenseBordeaux character.
15.PALET d’ OPIUM– A first taste of
seductive blood orange, nextexperience
smoky lapsang in the middle, thenfinishes with
hypnotic spice. Three transcendentflavors.
16. SHIKI MATCHA CRUNCH – Captivating
greentea with antioxidants infused
Nowthis review would take forever if I told you my thoughts on every piece ofchocolate in the Studio Collection but I will tell you my thoughts on a few ofthem!
WHITE PEACHES & CREAM – Inormally don’t like flavor filled chocolate (probably because the only ones I’vehad are cheaply made) but that was until I tasted the exquisite taste if peachwith chocolate. It was like biting into a sweet succulent peach.
GALAXY WAY– I have never tasted such perfect caramel. The flavor of the Carmel wasthe most intense flavor that has ever touched my tongue. Loved it!
COGNAC CRÉME BRULÉ– I am not a drinker but the cognac with the chocolate was amazing. Verynice flavor combination.
CARAMEL du SEL– after tasting the GALAXY WAY I did not think I couldhave Carmel tasting any better then what I had just tried. But the Carmel in theCARAMEL du SEL wasjust as wonderful with completely different tastes. I especially did not know howthe pink sea salt would be but it really made the Carmel perfect.
ESPRESSO DOUBLE SHOT–I have never had cacao nibs before so I was glad that my first tome was onOliver Kita Chocolates. There was also an espresso flavor inside! Thechocolates just keep getting better!
PISTACHE CARRÉ–yet another flavor I never thought I would have with chocolate but it reallyworks! This is one of my top favorites out of the entire box!
PALET d’ OLIVIER –I spend the fall picking berries for homemade jams and jellies and have pickedcurrents since I was a child and have always loved the flavor. How perfect toput them in chocolate!
