MyThoughts on Old Time Candy
It seems that when I go to a convenientstore and cruise down the candy isle I no longer see the candy that I knew as achild. I used to enjoy Candy Cigarettes, Cherry Mash, and Root Bear barrels! Idid not know that there was any place that I could go to find such a thing nowdays! But there is! Old Time Candy has EVERYTHING you might be looking for! Iwas impressed to find wax candies, Circus Peanuts, and Clove Gum!
I was sent a 4lb decade box of candyfor the purpose of my review. Old Time Candy sells these boxes for the 1950’s,60’s, 70’s, 80’s, or even a mix-up of all decades! I decided upon the 1950’scandy because there were so many that I remembered as a kid as well as lotsthat I had never heard of.
When the box arrived in the mail Iwas so excited to open it up! I knew that as soon as my daughter went to bedthat night my hubby and I would probably dump it all out and see what we couldfind! I was right! We had a blast looking through everything and trying manycandies that we had never heard of such as Black Jack Taffy, Honeycomb peanuts,and Indian Brand Pumpkin seeds. We enjoyed each and every one of them! Now ithas been about 2 weeks since my Old Time Candy arrived and I still have justover 3lbs left! This box was stuffed FULL of amazing candy! I am very impressed with Old TimeCandy. I did not know that there was any place where I could go to get my oldfavorites. But, there is! Since reviewing these items I have been able tointroduce my daughter to wax bottles, Fizzies drink tablets, and many differentcandies containing Black Licorice! I know that each of you will be taken backin time with all of the candy options that are available at Old Time Candy!Some of their candy even goes back to the pre-1920’s! How cool is that?
