Getting To Know April421
I am from a suburbof Chicago in the great Midwest! I am a full time special education teacher atan elementary school. I am also a part time student. I have my master’s degreein education and am working towards an advanced certification in the field. Ialso enjoy playing the piano and doing yoga. I love to laugh and be around myfriends & family. I live at home with my husband (Matt) and my cute Himalayancat (Zoe) that we adopted a few years ago. I’m one of those people though thatalways likes to be doing something! I am so glad etsy provides me the creativeoutlet I so need!
I make handmade yarn wreaths, yarn wrapped letters and felt flower embellishments.I carry both ready to ship items and also will work with customers to makecustom ordered items.
I have been on etsy as a customer for awhile and just decided to keep my namethe same (April421). April 21st is my birthday!
I plan on making lots of wreaths this summer with my time off of work. I amhoping to create a fall/winter line stocked with Halloween wreaths and wreathsfor the holidays, in addition to my other wreaths. I enjoy adding avintage-inspired touch to my wreaths.
I get my inspiration from looking throughmagazines and catalogs (especially Anthropology) for color combinations. I alsolike to get inspiration from beautiful scrapbook paper. For some reason it justspeaks to me! After a long day at work I find creating my wreaths very stressrelieving. I turn on some good music and just sit in my own thoughts while Icreate my work of art!I do have a facebook page (Dianna Duddy) and also an etsy shop(april421.etsy.com)
