My Thoughts on Jolly Good Spellers
Teaching kid’s correct spelling is vital at a young age. It developstheir minds and will fill accomplished when they see the word and know how toread it. Kathy Goforth knows just how important it is to teach kids spelling.As a Early Childhood Generalist and Kindergarten teacher in North Carolina shehas developed a way for the young kids to learn and have a blast all at thesame time!
I was very excited to receive the For We Are Jolly Good Spellers CD inthe mail. My daughter is at Kindergarten age and I knew this would be perfectto test out on her. We popped in the CD together and started to sing along withthe familiar tunes that we were hearing! The tunes were sung with the spellingof common used words such as About, Because, From, Get, Has, Like, Out, Play,That, Under, Was, Yes, Your, etc….. My daughter was dancing around and singingthe songs in no time! I fine this CD creative and with the catchy tunes thechildren will be able to memorize the spelling and then in turn will be able toread those words!
I am very impressed with the For We Are Jolly Good Spellers CD. Thetunes are catchy. The words are words that any younger child will be able topick up on and the songs are sung clearly and are easy to understand. There areno filler words which I like! Kathy really gets to the point as she sings!
Ashes Thoughts (age 5)
The songs are cool. I like to spell and read. I could dance and sing tothe songs. I learned how to spell from, about, she and he, get, and find. Iknew some of the piano part from school because some of them were songs we hadsong in school. These were just different words. I knew how to spell some ofthe words but it was still fun to learn a song to help kids learn. Some of myfriends don’t know how to spell those words and I can teach them the songs sothey can learn too. I like the piano and the lady has a pretty voice. I couldhula dance to the music and it was fun.
