My Thoughts on Lastingness
The Art of Old Age
By Nicholas Delbanco

Age has been an important factor in many aspects of day to day life.Where younger is better in many instances in others we look toward a more knowledgeableelder! Nicholas Delbanco talks about many famous and wonderful influencers fromour past and teaches us why some of them had many amazing talents at a young agewhere as with some the talent seemed to grow with age. I did enjoy reading theparts that I could get into (although not many) and did learn some fascinating aspectsof lives such as Shakespeare, Henry David Thoreau, Beethoven, Yeats, and Monet. It was also neat to read about the different time periods in their lives wherethey were at their best.
Although this book was not for me, it does not mean that you will notfind it interesting. I think that the biggest reason I could not get into thisbook was because of the choice of wording and I found that the book seemed tojump around more than I would have liked. I encourage you to look into reading Lastingness:The Art of Old Age by Nicholas Delbanco! There really are some intriguing factsto find out about each person listed in this book!
