My Thoughts on Samantha An American Girl Holiday Growing up American Girl was a huge part of my life. I enjoyed reading about each girl and the events that occurred during their time period. I dreamt of one day owning an American Girl doll and wishing that I could see the girls in real life! At this time I still do not own an American Girl doll but I can see the girls! American Girl has started making movies of your favorite girls and I was delighted to be able to review Samantha An American Girl Holiday. I loved this movie and felt that it stayed very true to the Samantha character. I also loved showing my daughter what it might have been like to live in 1904! Samantha An American Girl had a wonderful story line. Children who watch that movie are going to see that it is good to put others before themselves. Lilruby Bracelet Review and Giveaway- Open Worldwide!
Getting To Know Lilruby I grew up in Elgin, Il which is a suburb of Chicago. Elgin used to be very well known for Elgin watches and my ancestors came over from Switzerland in the 1800's to work at the watch factory. I now live in the Missouri Ozarks - although I still get homesick for Chicago, I sure don't miss the brutal winters! My shop name, lilruby, is actually the pet name I have for my car - a red Mustang! I decided to use it for my shop because I think it's easy to remember and it also works for jewelry. Lately I've been passionate about the look of verdigris patina on brass, and plan to offer more of it in my designs. I've also been experimenting a little bit with resin. I don't twitter, and right now I don't have time for a blog, but I'd like to someday! I'm inspired by many things, but my main inspiration is the beautiful flowing lines of Art Nouveau artwork and jewelry.
