My Thoughts on The Church Awakening

The Church Awakening The Urgent Call For Renewal by Charles R. Swindoll is a book about the erosion in religion. Charles talks about how many churches and religions are going off track. It used to be that every Sunday people went to church in their Sunday best with their bible in hand. Now some people are lucky if they even remember to bring the bible along. I myself see what the author is talking about to some extent. But on the other hand, I am so firm in my faith and I don’t feel that any of that is happening in my church so it is a little harder for me to relate.
While reading the first chapter of The Church Awakening I could not put the book down. But by the end if the second chapter I has lost interest. I felt that it was the same things over and over again. I agree with many of the points that Charles was making but I also feel that the points could have gotten across to the reader in fewer words.
