Might it Happen Again?
Heaven knows we hope so. These are devastating times: 1.75 Billion people are desperately poor; one billion are hungry. Lonely hearts indwell our neighborhoods and attend our schools. In the midst of it all, here we stand: you, me, and our one-of-a –kind lives. We are given a choice….an opportunity to make a big difference during a difficult time. What if we did? What if we rocked the world with hope? Worth a try, don’t you think?
Sometimes it is easier to turn the other cheek. Even if you know that someone standing right in front of you is in desperate need of your help. Should you get involved? Should you help? Sometimes it is easier said than done. I know that I have been faced with these situations many times. Sometimes you think that staying away and putting your wall up will be better in the long run, but will it? Probably not. Max Lucado really helped to open up my eyes. There are some things in life that I have done wrong and never thought of it as being wrong until now. There are also many things that I have done right and I am glad to know that I am not the only kind hearted person in this world. Max Lucado took happenings out of the Bible and placed them with our day to day life. Are you living like Jesus? Really living like Jesus? Do you stand up for him through thick and thin no matter the consequence? I would like to think that even if faced with death that I would stand up for him. Jesus Christ has done so much for me and if I can even do a quarter of it than I am on the right track. I love Out Live Your Life by Max Lucado. It has really helped me put my life into prospective and he truly has a way with words! I can’t wait to read this book again, as well as the many other books he has written!
