Studies indicate that these high-frequency words make up between 58-75% of all words in children’s books. This list is paramount for beginning readers to master in order to become successful in their reading ability. Early readers often reach frustration thresholds before learning how to read due to their struggle with high-frequency words.
When my child was old enough to talk I was teaching her, her ABC’s and the sounds each letter makes. I feel that it is important for our kids to be taught from an early age.
Stepping Stones Together is helping parents to do just that. Stepping Stones Together gives you access to lots of books at different reading levels. There is also a place to log your Childs progress as well as certificates to print out when your child completes a category.
Another feature that I live about stepping stones is the categories of the books they are categorized by topic such as animal, super hero, fairy, princess, etc. The books are also very easy to print and you can print them with your child’s name. My daughter also loves that she was able to color each page of the books.
Stepping Stones Together is a wonderful site and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to share it with you all. I have also showed it to the parents of my day care kids and the parents are thrilled with it as well!
I received a short membership to Stepping Stones Together for purpose of this review. All thoughts expressed are my own and may vary from others.
