Daisyfleur are a mother and daughter team who both love sewing. Mum Suzanne lives in a little village called Navenby, near Lincoln in England, and daughter Jenny lives near Stoke Newington in London. We have identical sewing machines, and are in regular contact by phone and email, to discuss new ideas and help and support each other. We also meet up for sewing days from time to time, which we greatly enjoy.In our shop we carry items for little girls from babies up to the under 5’s. We specialise in traditional pinafore dresses and ‘special’ dresses made from liberty cotton lawn. Many of our pinafore dresses are made from a beautifully soft babycord fabric, in lovely flowery designs, with shoulder buttons. We have a variety of flowery designs for the liberty dresses, in lovely patterns and colours. We also make cotton sundresses and skirts, and other cotton dresses.
In addition, we make some pretty accessories for little girls. These include our new range of attractive sunhats, little shoulder purses and shopping bags, and bunting to decorate bedrooms or for party use!Our shop name ‘daisyfleur’ was chosen because we both love flowers, especially daisies, and we know that most little girls also like flowery fabrics. It seemed to sound right to us both.
New items – we have just added the new sunhat range. We have some lovely new materials ready to make into bags and shoe bags, and plan to expand our accessories range as well as keeping the pinafore dresses and liberty fabric dresses well stocked. We also have plans to promote traditional aprons. Another of our favourite small items are lavender bags, which we make from our own lavender, grown in my Lincolnshire garden. So far we are selling pretty lavender bags and hearts, but we hope to expand this range in the near future.These of course are suitable for mums and grandmas as well as little girls!We have a blog

We get inspiration for new items from lovely new fabrics, pictures we see in books, new dress patterns, items we see on etsy and each other!We both enjoy making all the items we sell, but I think Jenny enjoys making the babycord pinafore dresses best, and I get most satisfaction from making the lovely liberty fabric dresses! However, we both love making accessories too, as a contrast to the dresses.
We have both learnt so much from our first year trading on etsy. We have dealt with so many lovely customers and others who visit our etsy shop, and the compliments are a real boost! It does give us a very special feeling to post our dresses off to Australia and the USA as well as to other places in England. We also love buying items on etsy too!
