I started my ring endeavor in the Fall of 2009. I always knew I wanted to do something creative. I had seen an article in a magazine years ago about vintage buttons made into rings. I thought it was the coolest idea, so I decided to start a business creating rings and hairpins for young and old with buttons, vintage materials, seaglass or anything else that strikes me. I love the idea of repurposing items. The fact that there is a story behind each item and that I am giving these vintage pieces a new life is fun and rewarding.
Hpnestly when I started to think of a name I was thinking Baubles…….or along those lines and most names that I originally came up with were taken……and like a flash of lightning the name came to me one morning, and I was enamored with it. ring-a-ling……it even sounds kind of vintage to me.

small percentage are actually what I call “ring worthy”. Occasionally I make a ring that is not my particular style, but I think someone will love it. That is what is so great, the diversity. Everyobody has different styles……petite, chunky, silver, gold……there is sure to be something for everyone!
Magazines and televison are suprisingly inspipring . Every once in awhile I will see someone on tv and think “Her outfit needs a big chunky ring…..I have just the one. I know it is cliche, but Martha Stewart is still inspiring to me all these years later…..she has such an eye for things.
What do you do when you’re not being an artist? What activities do you enjoy?
I love to furnish and decorate my home inside and out. I love all things vintage, nostaligic and a little bit different. I feel the same way about my accessories. I love live music, eating dinner outside, planning parties with my daughter. We are currently in the planning stages of planning her kittens next birthday party. Bonfires on the beach, family dinners, and buying pumpkins. I am not hard to please.
I remember the first ring I made. I think it is kind of like making pancakes for the first time. You are having fun and are excited to make them, but the first one is not really your best. They keep getting better.
Anything else you would like us to know?
I love making my rings, it is fun to be unique and since my rings are affordable, it is something that you can buy for yourself and not feel guilty.
