Where are you from?
I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband and three kids (6, 3 and 3 months). I have a BFA in studio art and was a professional illustrator for 15 years. Currently, I am a stay at home mom. I get to watch my kids throw fits, punches and sometimes a cute little smile my way. It is well worth the it even though my heels have been replaced for flip-flops and my Bug for a Minivan.
What items do you carry in your shop?
Currently I carry all felt flowers as a supply for other crafters and hair accessories made with these flowers. This month I will also be adding supplies of rolled organza flowers and these flowers as brooches, hair accessories, shoe clips and pendants.
How did you decide on your shop name?
It is the street we live on.
How did you learn to make your flowers?
I was making some paper flowers for a wall hanging for my daughters room. They were these beautiful burgundy rice paper flowers that were coated with varnish. It the end they looked like real flowers and were just stunning but they took FOREVER. One night while sitting down to do my last batch for the project, I decided to see how fabric would turn out using the same technique. Felt was the first thing I grabbed. It was much more fun that the paper.
Do you have a blog, twitter, or facebook page?
I have a blog but I do have to say I haven’t put anything on it yet and doubt I ever will. I have three young kids. Need I say more?

Anything else you would like us to know?
I saw Etsy in Dwell magazine when my oldest was just an infant. At the time, I went to the site and thought it would never fly because it was too hard to navigate and no way people buying handmade would turn commonplace. I could absolutely kick myself! But I love to create and I hope that I am able to keep on doing this for as long as possible.
I also do stamped polymer clay ornaments starting in July through the holiday season. These are my best sellers by far. I will make a shop announcement but you can also look for them in July on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/mbuster
