  Getting to know Deborah (DeborahJulian) Where are you from? and a little bit about you I live in New York City and have been a photographer for over twenty five years. About fifteen years ago I developed severe allergies to photo chemicals which meant I could no longer print my own work in a darkroom. This was prior to digital photography. I was shooting film and I knew from experience that if I couldn’t print my negatives myself, my work would not look the way I wanted it to look. I decided to go back to school. My two loves were art and animals. It was a toss up whether to pursue a career working with animals or to stay in the arts. I chose to get a degree in art history. But I missed being a photographer! Fortunately, digital cameras and ink jet printers have allowed me to return to photography and to be able to create the images I want to create.   Getting to know Monique (greenviewlane) Where are you from? I live in Portland, Oregon with my husband and three kids (6, 3 and 3 months). I have a BFA in studio art and was a professional illustrator for 15 years. Currently, I am a stay at home mom. I get to watch my kids throw fits, punches and sometimes a cute little smile my way. It is well worth the it even though my heels have been replaced for flip-flops and my Bug for a Minivan. What items do you carry in your shop? Currently I carry all felt flowers as a supply for other crafters and hair accessories made with these flowers. This month I will also be adding supplies of rolled organza flowers and these flowers as brooches, hair accessories, shoe clips and pendants. How did you decide on your shop name?   Getting to know Kendra (HattStreet) Where are you from? and a little bit about you I'm originally from Victoria, BC Canada, but currently I'm living in Dundas, Ontario, Canada. I grew up in the boonies, so moving to Ontario was quite the culture shock! I've been crafting for as long as I can remember, my whole family is artistic. My mum and dad do fibre crafts (my mum knits and my dad crochets), and my sister's a painter. Extended family is all creative too, so I think there's some merit to that nature versus nurture debate!!! What items do you carry in your shop? I started out carrying only toques, as that's my main focus (I love winter - mountain bike season is only good enough to pass the time until snowboard season comes back around!).   Getting to know Jill (CozyHollowMixes) Where are you from? and a little bit about you I am originally from Atlanta,GA but now live in St James,MO, which is a VERY rural area! My husband, Tim, & I have been married almost 20 years. We have 2 very handsome boys who are 18 & 16. We are also foster parents to 2 little boys who are 10 & 9. Around our home, we eat, sleep, & breathe baseball! Our boys have played since they were 3 & 4! We truly love our quiet lil life in the country! What items do you carry in your shop? I have a variety of different dry mixes in my shop, I have soups, breads, brownies, cookies, cakes, coffees, & hot chocolates. I also have a line of truffles! They are hand-dipped, & all natural!
