April is Autism awareness month! With that being said I have a wonderful giveaway today! Three of my lucky winners with each get The Autism Book by Robert W. Sears, MD, FAAP
Before I read this book I did not know very much about Autism. I only know two children with Autism and both of them I don’t know very well. I have always had a kind of fascination with Autism. I went to school for Medical Coding and learned a little while I was there but always wanted to know more. I was very happy to get the opportunity to review a copy of The Autism Book. It opened my eyes and helped me better understand Autism and some of the things parents can do about it. I also learned things that will help my daughter with some of the stuff we are going through with her. At this time we have had her on a gluten free diet because she seems to have an intolerance to gluten. This book helped me to know some of the questions I can ask the doctor and it helped me better understand the tests they can do to know if this is what is causing her mood changes. This book is packed full of facts and will help you better understand how to diagnose your child if you think they might have Autism. It also will help you to see that there are some options out there that do not involve a prescription drugs. Robert helps you to find the right diet for your child. There are sections of the book such as Allergies, Seizures, Low Muscle tone, Failure to Thrive, Sleep problems, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, etc…. Robert will tell you a plan to help your child through each problem. I found this book to be very useful whether your child has Autism or not. I would recommend this book to anyone that has any questions or concerns about Autism or anyone who would just like to know more about it!
Contest will close on Wednesday April 21st at 11:59 p.m. MST and the winner will be chosen via Random.org and notified via e-mail on Thursday April 22nd. Giveaway is open to US and Canada, No P.O. Boxes please!
Winner will have 48 hours to reply to my e-mail. If I do not hear back from the winner in 48 hours I will pick another winner!

I learned he helps guide parents through the testing. I do hope, though that he doesn't say there is a link between autism and vaccines. Because there is none that has been proven. I would like to read the book, because I have a son on the autism spectrim.

I learned that there are many factors to consider when dealing with autism.

I like that the book talks about early detection. My son was just set up for an eval for possible Autism. He's only 18 mos old and I've already heard people say he's "too young" to detect. This book looks like a good one to read, so I can see what they say.

I would like this book just to have the knowledge on what to look for now as my triplets develope. Especially with one of my sons having some signs of possible Autism.

What I learned: I didn't realize that Dr. Sears was associated with biomed interventions. Our son, who has Autism, has been having some severe behavior lately and we are finally deciding to go to a DAN doctor and look into some biomed treatments.
What I learned basically answered why I want this book. Oops! We are looking into biomed interventions.
I am a google follower, even though for some reason my picture and profile stuff isn't pulling up right! Ugghh, Google!
I like that one reviewer felt that the book offered "a clear, concise plan for the treatment of autism"
I would love to win because my son was diagnosed with Aspergers with is a higher functioning form of Autism and perhaps I can learn more from the book about the condition.
The book helps parentws learn how to detect autism at the earliest possible age
