Where are you from? and a little bit about you
I am originally from Syracuse, NY, but am now living in Lebanon, NH. I love it here! I am a widow and I have two grown sons.
How did you decide on your shop name?
I love country antiques and decorating – and music! So, the name Cindy’s Country Collectibles just fit.
Why did you start your business?
As, I said, I am a widow. I was full time caregiver for my severely disabled husband for several years before he passed away two years ago. Now, at the age of 55, I need to make a living and selling is something I love to do. This is a good fit for me at this time in my life.
Do you have anything new you plan on adding to your store?
I plan to add more and more vintage advertising items and more true country antiques.
What is your favorite thing about being a seller?
I love the hunt of finding great vintage and antique things and I love seeing what people are interested in. What will be the next thing that will sell?!
Do you have a blog, twitter, or facebook page?
I do twitter. I want to get a Facebook page for my business, but haven’t yet figured out how to do it!
What inspires you to collect the items in your shop?
I am not sure how to answer the question about what inspires me to collect the things in my shop – I love history and the things of the past – beautiful old glass, things you might find in an old general store.
What items in your shop do you most enjoy collecting and why?
As I have said, I love the old country things, so those are the things I most enjoy finding and putting in the shop – and I plan to do more of that!!
Win it!
