The Jesus Passages I am a huge fan of journalism I have kept a diary/journal since I was a young child. It is kind of funny because I always wrote out my journal entries to my daughter....YEARS before I even had her. One of my most favorite things to journal about is God. Recently I received a copy of The Jesus Passages by Ron Gannett for the purpose of this review. I was honestly excited for this book to arrive because I knew that it would help me expand on my thoughts....and my journal. In The Jesus Passages you will find 267 passages from the scriptures. After you read the scripture you will be able to ponder on what it means to you. There is a 'Hook' question that will make you really stop and think about the scripture and what it means to you. Then you can read 'Book' to see what that passage meant to the author. It is a great way for some extra insight into the scripture and can really get you to ponder on different aspects and passages. God’s Warhorses! – A Story of Cancer and the Power of God!

God's Warhorses! My Thoughts on God's Warhorses - I lived a sheltered life as a child. I say that because I do not remember having sickness around me. My family (including all my extended family) was healthy. I had my parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sickness and death was not something I ever really thought about. It was not until I was 21 that I first had an experience with Cancer. My Grandpa was diagnosed and it seemed that before anyone in the family could blink by Grandpa was gone from this world. My next experience with cancer was just last year. My Aunt told the family that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. This rocked the family of course because everyone knew what had happened with Grandpa. It was just a few short weeks from his diagnoses until his death. My Thoughts on Butter Chuck! I find it empowering to teach children to be who they want to be. At a young age I taught my daughter the importance of loving her self and not caring what others around her might say or think. That is exactly why I love the book Butter Chuck so much! Recently I was sent a copy of this book with a Butter Chuck plush for the purpose of this review. I was excited to read Butter Chuck with the kids because I knew that it could help to open up discussions about not only being who you want to be but also discussion son bullying. Butter Chuck is a woodchuck who longs to be a butterfly. He is often taunted and teased for being the person he wants to be. He dreams of being a butterfly with beautiful wings. But, unfortunately the other woodchucks around him do not understand and so they taunt him and call him names. A few years ago I worked as a substitute teacher. One of my substitute jobs ended up being a couple of weeks long and entailed working with an Autistic student. That was my first encounter with autism. To be honest he fascinated me. The knowledge that he had was out of this world. He just did not understand what he needed to do with all that brain power he had going on. It was amazing. Since then I have worked with and babysat many autistic children. Faith and Other Flat Tires Review! My thoughts on Faith and Other Flat Tires by Andrea Palpant Dilley – Let’s keep in mind this is a memoir, I happen to find memoirs most intriguing. A lot of times in a memoir the reader will tend to find a piece of them relating to the author and that is just what I did. I was able to relate to Dilley and a lot of her feelings in this book. Faith and Other Flat Tires is an honest read which I appreciated the most from Dilley. Dilley doesn’t write herself in this memoir as a victim but also isn’t putting herself in a heroine stereotype either. She is just simply honest and is who she is which can rub people the wrong way with the questions she asks and the things she wants to know. She is a very bright woman who knew what to question and when to ask why.
