Bringing Christ Back To Christmas with Little Lamb + Printable!

** I was sent a product for the purpose of this review. However, my own opinion was used and not influenced in any way! Bringing Christ Back To Christmas with Little Lamb! The first year that Elf on the Shelf was introduced I fell in love. I loved bringing some Christmas magic into my home and seeing my daughters face light up when the elf would move around our home. However, it seems that over the years the Elf on the Shelf idea has went from something cute and fun to something that is causing trouble. I feel that the antics I am seeing around Pinterest are not at all doing the things that would make the holiday and a child's behavior better but only showing children what NOT to do! This is NOT something I want to instill into my children. That is why for the past few years our Elf has been doing kind things like baking us cupcakes, placing our nativities around our home and reading scriptures. But I still felt that was not enough. Recently I was sent a package from Deseret … [Read more...]

Give The Gift Of More Then Just Flowers – Gift Ideas

Give The Gift Of More Then Just Flowers - GiftIdeas   If you are going to have someone deliver flowers to your wife on her birthday or your anniversary, you may also want to think about what types of gifts go well with them. Buying her something extra that is a good compliment shows that you put thought and effort into what you should get, which you know that she is going to appreciate. Below are a few ideas that you might want to think about, depending on what she already has and the things that you know that she likes. First, you could get a box of chocolates. These are very popular, to the point that they have become somewhat of a tradition. They are an easy gift to give because everyone likes chocolate, so you know that she will enjoy it. They also come in heart-shaped boxes, which help create a romantic atmosphere. The only problem with doing this is that these are so popular that they might even come off as cliche, so you need to go another route if you want her to … [Read more...]

I #RememberWhen my daughter spent her first Christmas in the hospital, memories I will never take for granted

Full Disclosure: I was compensated for my time on sharing the YesVideo holiday deadlines.  All opinions and family memories are 100% my own. ~ I #RememberWhen my daughter spent her first Christmas in the hospital, memories I will never take for granted~ My daughter will be celebrating her 10th birthday in a few days. Ten years that doctors said I might never have with my baby girl. Ten years have gone by quickly but it seems like yesterday that we were praying for her to live. Begging her to keep fighting in the NICU and to stay with us.     During that time I was in a fog but what I am thankful of is that we were able to capture some pictures and a few videos. Our family wasn't allowed in the NICU to see our baby girl because of the winter season and the risk of germs and sickness that could spread. All they had were the picture and the video clips I recorded. They were not allowed to see her for her first Thanksgiving or for her first Christmas.  I am thankful … [Read more...]

The Nutcracker in 3D Review!

The Nutcracker in 3D Review!   My thoughts on The Nutcracker in 3D – I was so excited to be able to take my 9 year old daughter to this amazing event! I never would have thought that something so magical such as Tchaikovsky’s beautiful and elegant ballet, The Nutcracker would ever be in 3D and in a movie theater!! We sat in the very back row with our 3D glasses on and we had the best seats in the house! Everything was amazing in 3D….it didn’t matter where we sat actually because it was all right there and beautifully done. Had we been at that actual play, we would have missed so much of the detail! Being in 3D allowed us to see every single sparkle and move which was spectacular! The facial expressions were priceless and to see the ballerinas up close was something I had never seen before. Oh sure, I have seen The Nutcracker play before in person but this was by far the best experience I have had with this play. We were able to see the orchestra, the conductor, and the … [Read more...]

I love Dinosaur Train and have that secure feeling that it is something appropriate 100% for my children. Such a colorful, educational show that has now carried over into clothing, dvd’s, shoes, toys and also books! Dinosaur Train, A Holiday with Buddy! Is a book that will have any child curious to know what the story is about! This 29 page book is about the family taking a trip at winter time. I homeschool my kids and I love books and any book that can strike up a conversation is great. The first page talks about no leaves on the trees. What can you do to make sure that this Fourth of July ranks up with the very best? Having Guests If you have invited guests around to your home, then no doubt there will have been a great deal of planning gone into what you are going to eat and offer your guests, as well as looking at many decorative aspects of your home. 8 Best 4th of July Movies and TV Show Episodes

The 4th of July is a day when barbeque, fireworks, and entertainment collide. The media landscape is laden with Independence Day celebrations, and if you’re intent on vegging out during the holiday, here are four television episodes and four films that are sure to bring out your patriotic side. 1. Born Again on the Fourth of July (King of the Hill, 2009): Bobby Hill (Pamela Adlon) is a boy on a mission to find himself and where he stands in the world. The episode “Born Again on the Fourth of July” is no exception. After attending an evangelical church, Bobby becomes an extreme Born Again Christian and destroys his father‘s huge Uncle Sam decoration, thinking it’s a graven image. However, Hank thinks the people who live on neighboring Milton Street are the vandals and declares war. This is a great episode for celebrating Independence Day not only because the neighborhood war acts as a mini-Revolutionary War, but because Bobby’s innocent search for personal truth is as … [Read more...]
