The Heart of Christmas Movie Review and Giveaway!

My Thoughts on The Heart of Christmas

The Heart of Christmas starring Matthew West and Candace Cameron is a movie I had never heard of before and my only expectation was that it had something to do with Christmas. I am sure I am not alone when saying I absolutely love everything about Christmas so I was excited to curl up on the couch in my pajamas and have a nice cup of hot apple cider. I was ready for my movie night! I soon learned that The Heart of Christmas is based off a true story of Dax Locke, a small boy who has been diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. The Heart of Christmas shows you the life of one family fighting to save their son’s life and the roller coaster ride every family goes through when facing a terminal illness. The community that the Locke family lives in comes together to show an outstanding amount of support and love in the most unique way for sweet Dax. This movie will have you heading upstairs to give your kids one more kiss, or calling your family to tell them you simply love them. The Heart of Christmas made me aware that I need to slow down in life and really appreciate what we really do have and how much we truly are blessed this upcoming holiday season and every single day. I was so captivated watching this movie that I didn’t even drink my apple cider! In the movie was a song by Matthew West I had never heard before and it was so powerful in its message that I had to pause and grab a tissue, ok it was more like three. The Heart of Christmas gave me an insight on how great St. Jude’s Hospitals really are and how many children they help each and every day. Definitely a movie worth watching!

  1. There is nothing I love more, on a cold snow day, then watching a good movie! Heartfelt movies are my favorite kind of movies! I can’t wait to see this movie, it sounds so good!!

  2. Yes, I lost my dear precious father when I was 17 years old. That has been 33 years ago,
but it seems like yesterday. I miss him so much all the time.

  3. I have lost several, lost my sister in July, my first husband at the age of 25 and another sister at the age of 31, the list go on & on.
