Getting to know KhaliNouveau
Where are you from? and a little bit about youMy name is Aiysha Khaalid, nickname Khali, I am a full-time artist with a bachelor degree in Fine Arts. I’m a painter, an illustrator, a mixed media artist, and crafter residing in Boston, MA. I come from a large family and I am a middle child of five. I am a world traveler, and a photographer as a past-time hobby. I recently had a solo art show this past May, 2010 and it was a greatest turning point of my art career.
What items do you carry in your shop?The main goodies that I carry in my shop is my original paintings, vintage illustrated books, and craft items.
How did you decide on your shop name?
As an owner and creator of KhaliNouveau, the name of my business came about from a nickname ‘Khali’ given from my family, and “Nouveau” is French for ‘New’ inspired from the most famous and my favorite art period, Art Nouveau.
Do you have anything new you plan on adding to your store?
Shhhhh!It’s a secret, but I can tell you that it will be more of my artwork, and pretty crafts. I plan to add new goodies this coming Fall, 2010.

Etsy inspired me. I love to share my artwork and crafts with others. Etsy keeps me motivated.

Anything else you would like us to know?
What I would like to be doing in 5 years is to teach art again and own an art gallery
